World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
Upgrades to items allow players to boost an item's gear score up to 700 and add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For example, a perfectly rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't really change after an upgrade, and aren't worth it.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. A lot of weapons also have a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a single unit. In certain instances, this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon is able to upgrade on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity as well as its current level. For example the weapon with a +2 rating will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the weapon will continue to increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.
The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. This is generally a positive thing, but it can also have negative consequences. Upgrades can render items inaccessible, unless you're extremely lucky.
Armor items can also be upgraded to improve their stats. In the case of a helm or chest, this will increase its base defense while gloves and belts will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also offers a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it could reroll to a lower value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain when upgrading, as well as the relative value of those stats. This means that an upgrade from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will strike for 3 times less often as it is an absolute number.
A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button that has arrows that circle in the item menu. The item will be rerolled and change its statistics, but it will not reset the weapon's levels or connect it to an account's status.
Armor
A few armor upgrades can make a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets offer massive improvements in the resistance to curses, poison and fire as well as magic. This makes it easier to traverse difficult terrains. In general, the greater defense your character is, the more value you will get out of each point of health you possess, so it's important to upgrade your armor as much as you can.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four in total, and each requires you to complete a unique side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed your main quest and the corresponding fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of material and Rupees required to complete each will vary. It is possible to use anything from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade the next one. The Champion Leathers, for example, can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which allows you to remain competitive in cold environments with a large number of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded to +20 defense so that you're able to withstand a rout with your comrades.
You can't upgrade your armor like weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor for physical power or the power of spells. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
You can also gain perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Potions

To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI that allows you to select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll provide when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.
Once a potion is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade unless you take it out again or break the bottle in the container it is stored. You can also rename the potion by clicking it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the mechanism of potions. item upgrader , for instance are now available with a time of zero, not the 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display for the item. The potion table can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It is now able to be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be combined in cauldrons. The same is true for using a potion in a cauldron that is full. This will deplete the potion and refill the bottle.
Finally, there are lingering potions that are made using splash and dragon breath potions. In the same way, a lingering potion effect can be extended by adding redstone to it. Trinkets
A trinket is a small and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It may be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a purpose but is not particularly significant such as a tiny thimble. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to signify friendship or affection, especially between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets like other items that can be upgraded can be exchanged at any time without losing stats.
Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of every zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of rare trinkets.
Upgrading a trinket is a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new one. It can be done by players for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl of the older one, and have an additional upgrade bonus of 1.
Once the old Trinkets have become not usable, they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase both their power and value with time. They can be traded between players which makes them a good alternative to gold.
Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are upgraded first, followed by their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment that will not replace anytime soon (such as rings or cloaks). When deciding on the items to upgrade, players must also consider the class's preferred stats. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player, then they should upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.
Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level once they're no longer needed, and the new trinket will receive an additional 1% upgrade bonus. Re-upgrading will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it is salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still cheaper than buying the new one.
